Pastor Elder Danny R. Patterson Sr.

Elder Patterson committed his life to Christ on June 25, 2000. He was very excited about his new found faith in Christ, and committed himself to studying God’s Word.  He had great zeal to know God and to serve him. He gave himself to any task that he saw needed attention. In July 2001 he felt Gods’ calling to ministry. His pastor Elder James Patterson Jr. bore witness to the call, and he ministered his initial sermon on September 8, 2001.

Elder Patterson served in many capacities at his local church Cornerstone Ministries, Church of God by Faith, Cordele, Georgia. He served as WWC Chairman, Planning Committee President, Sunday School Superintendent, and Assistant Pastor. He attended Ministerial Alliance Classes for four years and was ordained a minister, and continued an additional four years and was consecrated an elder. He attended and graduated from Moultrie Technical College School of Business Administration, Auto Body Collision and Repair as well as Painting Cars.

In December 2007 he was assigned Pastor of Valdosta Church of God By Faith, Valdosta, Georgia; where he served faithfully for six years. In December 2013, the council reassigned him and wife and family to Oglethorpe, Church of God by Faith in Oglethorpe, Georgia where he is serving as pastor with his wife Vanessa by his side. Being bi-vocational he is employed at Southern Regional Technical College in Tifton, Georgia as a WIOA Program Assistant.

He was asked to serve on the Superintendents governing board where he humbly accepted the opportunity to serve the saints of the newly formed Central Georgia District. Pastor Patterson married his high school sweet heart July 1, 1990. They have been married for 26 years, and have three wonderful children; Jotisha, Danny Jr. “DJ” (Katrea), and Darien. Pastor Patterson's life and ministry philosophy is to "Allow God to be God in your life", and to convey to others that God has our best interest at heart, even when we don’t understand the process.
